Techniques of Speed Hypnosis

upsell_boxset_smallHypnosis is a mental state of heightened nervous relaxation where the unconscious part of the mind is more open and susceptible to suggestions. It is induced by a procedure known as a hypnotic induction, which is commonly composed of a series of preliminary instructions and suggestions.

Instant hypnotic induction is the newest induction technique. It is a very useful tool for hypnotists, because it creates a powerful effect in a short time.

In instant hypnosis, induction time is cut down to even a short span of three to six seconds. Thus, it may also be called as speed hypnosis or speed trance.

We will talk about the techniques of speed hypnosis later on. But before that, we will first take a look at the main hypnosis techniques used by hypnotists.

First is age regression. In this technique, the hypnotist induces suggestions into the mind of the patient that will make him revisit the thoughts that they had at a certain point in their lives. Next is revivification. This technique is similar to age regression, wherein the patient is also asked to recall their past. However, in revivification, the patient is suggested to remember one certain incident so that it remains fresh in his mind, thus, enabling the hypnotist to work from that point of view.

Third is guided imagery, wherein the patient is told to imagine a new experience. This imagination is then carefully decried so as to relax the patient’s mind. Next is parts therapy. Here, the patient analyzes his problem while he is under hypnosis. The hypnotist, then, tries to break the problem down into specific parts.

Fifth is confusion, wherein the hypnotist obviously confuses the patient. Repetition is the next technique. Here, the hypnotist suggests something to the patient over and over again until he becomes more receptive to it.

Another is hypnoanalysis, wherein the patient is asked to bring up a specific memory from the past and release the emotions associated with that memory. Next is visualization, wherein the patient is told to visualize his goals immensely.

But if you want to hypnotize anyone in just three to six seconds, here is what you should do:

Relax the person whom you are going to hypnotize. When he reaches a relaxed state, take one of his arms and ask him to look into your eyes. At the same time, look into her eyes deeply while also putting your arm on his neck for at least six seconds. Then, suddenly cry “sleep” and move his head towards you. The moment you say “sleep”, you also have to quickly slip your hand away from him.

The techniques of speed hypnosis are now widely applied in stage show productions and clinical hypnosis as well.
